Parents and Players:

If you are reading this, then you are likely part of a growing community interested in the game of soccer. There are many reasons to play soccer.  It's the sport played most consistently played around the world.  According to FIFA, the sport's governing body, there are 265 million players actively involved around the world. It's one of the fastest growing games in the United States, and especially here in the Pacific Northwest. The rules for soccer are pretty simple, give or take a few offsides calls, corner kicks and yellow versus red cards. Moreover, you don't need very much equipment - just some a ball and a goal, and you're good to go.

Here at LVR Youth Soccer Club, we are dedicated to providing an opportunity for all kids to play soccer. We are part of a strong organization - Seattle Youth Soccer Association - and we encourage players to play at the most appropriate level, whether that be recreational soccer or the more competitive select soccer.  Regardless of ability, playing the game of soccer in NE Seattle starts here and we look forward to being a part of your youth soccer experience.

We have tried to compile a set of resources for you in this section. We have links to the forms you need, info on gear, and links to training resources. If you don'’t see what you need let us know and we will try to help.

Thank you and enjoy your season!

What is needed to play?

  • Shirt/Jersey (provided by the club)
  • Shin guards (worn under socks)
  • Socks (must cover the shin guards)
  • Shorts (should be close to the same color as the other players)
  • Soccer cleats (no metal studs, no toe cleat)

LVR Youth Soccer club has a couple of uniform choices depending on the age of the players.

  • U7-U9 -  The club provides jerseys to players in our House League program. These jerseys come in a variety of colors. Players receive a new jersey each year in the House League.
  • U10-U19 - LVR provides a jersey, shorts and socks to all players in the City League program. LVR's club colors are light blue and black.. Players receive a new "kit" every two years in the City League program and it is the responsibility of the player/family to keep the jersey for the following year.

Each club in SYSA has a color scheme assigned to them. Teams are discouraged form purchasing their own uniforms, although you are welcome to use your own shorts and socks.  We just ask that you use dark colored shorts and socks.

Please direct your uniform-related questions to our Clare Kealy, LVR's uniform and equipment manager, at
